Your organisation conducted a phishing simulation which resulted in you executing a phishing link. Phishing is one of the easiest ways that attackers breach a company's network and access client information.
Treat every email with a degree of caution:
- Never click on links or attachments from senders that you do not recognise
- Be especially wary of .zip, .exe or other compressed file types
- Look out for emails containing links to shortening services such as goo.gl, tinyurl.com and bit.ly
- Do not provide sensitive personal information (like usernames and passwords) over email
- Watch for email senders that use suspicious or misleading domain names
- Inspect URLs carefully to make sure they are legitimate
- Do not try to open any shared document that you are not expecting to receive
- Be especially cautious when opening attachments or clicking links, especially if you receive a warning message indicating it's from an external source.
